A shared fingerprint pad is a point of contact that should be avoided. Unlike an ink pad this ink strip method is unlikely to spread contaminants. A large 3 x 5 inch two-piece ink strip is enough for a single fingerprint card.
The Crime Scene single-use ink strip consists of two pieces of plastic film coated with a thin layer of fingerprint ink.
To use:
- Peel the two halves of film apart
- Place the strip on the included retainer pad
- Roll the fingers on either of the two exposed surfaces. A fine, thin layer of jet-black fingerprint ink is transferred to the fingers.
- The fingers are then rolled on a standard fingerprint card, producing clean, sharp prints.
The ink strips are in packs of 5, 400, and 800 two-piece ink strips. One two-piece strip should be enough for one fingerprint card
