Nile Red for Microplastics

Nile Red has found a new use in microplastic research. When samples from the environment are stained using Nile Red, the plastic in the samples is then fluorescent when irradiated with 460nm blue light.

Our chemist has formulated a version made especially for microplastic research. It is available as Acetone based or Methanol based.

It is packaged in a 250 mL threaded amber bottle.
